  1. Data protection policy

Thank you for visiting our website. In the following, we would like to inform you about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for data processing, as described below, is the office named in the Legal Notice.

  1. Usage data

When you visit our web pages, so-called usage data is temporarily evaluated on our web server for statistical purposes as a log, in order to improve the quality of our web pages. This data record consists of
• the name and address of the requested content,
• the date and time of the request,
• the amount of data transferred,
• the access status (content transferred, content not found),
• the description of the web browser and operating system used,
• the referral link, which indicates the page from which you came to ours,
• the IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened so that any personal reference can no longer be established.
The aforementioned log data is evaluated exclusively on an anonymous basis.

  1. Data security

In order to protect your data from unwanted access to the greatest extent possible, we deploy sophisticated technical and organisational measures. We also use an encryption procedure on our websites. Your data is transferred from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption. You can normally recognise this by the fact that the lock symbol is closed in the status bar of your browser and the address line begins with https://.

5. Cookies

We use cookies on our website, which are necessary for the use of our website.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.

We do not use these necessary cookies for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes.

In certain cases, these cookies only contain information about specific settings and do not facilitate your personal identification. They may also be necessary to fulfil the website’s user guidance, security and implementation requirements.

We use these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter f GDPR.

You can set your browser to notify you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You may also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the placement of new cookies. Please note that our web pages may then not be displayed and some functions may no longer be technically available to you.

We pass on your data to service providers who support us in the operation of our websites and the associated processes within the scope of order processing pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. These include, for example, hosting service providers. Our service providers are bound by strict instructions issued by us and are, accordingly, contractually obligated.

  1. Contact form

You have the option of contacting us via our contact form. To use our contact form, we first require the data marked as mandatory fields from you.

We use this data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter f GDPR to respond to your enquiry.

In addition, you can decide for yourself as to whether you would like to provide us with further information. This information is provided on a voluntary basis and is not mandatory for contacting you. We process your voluntary information on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR.

Your data will only be processed to respond to your request. We will delete your data if it is no longer required and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

  1. Enquiries submitted by email, telephone or fax

Should you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry – including all personal data arising from it – will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. Initially, this is always done on the basis of our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) Letter f GDPR. Should you enter into pre-contractual negotiations with us after the initial establishment of contact, we will process your data that is required to conclude a contract on the basis of Art. 6 (1) Letter b GDPR, just as we would after a contract is concluded.

8. Matomo

We use the web analysis tool “Matomo” to design our websites in line with demand. Matomo creates usage profiles based on fingerprints (including the hash value of the operating system, browser, browser plugins, anonymised IP address and browser language). No cookies are placed. By doing so, we are able to recognise returning visitors and count them as such.

The data processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR or Section 15 (3) Sentence 1 German Telemedia Act (TMG), if you have given your consent via our banner.

You may revoke your consent at any time. To do so, please follow this link and make the appropriate settings via our banner.

  1. Storage period

Unless we have already notified you in detail about the storage period, we will delete personal data when it is no longer required for the aforementioned processing purposes and no statutory retention obligations prevent its deletion.

10. Your rights as a data subject

When processing your personal data, the GDPR grants you certain rights as a data subject:

Right to disclosure regarding your information (Art. 15 GDPR):

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed; if this is the case, you have the right to access this personal data and the information listed in detail under Article 15 GDPR.

Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR):

You have the right to request, without undue delay, the rectification of any inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the completion of any incomplete data.

Right to deletion (Art. 17 GDPR):

You have the right to request that personal data concerning you be erased without delay, provided that one of the reasons listed in detail in Art. 17 GDPR applies.

Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR):

You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of the review by the data controller.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR):

In certain cases, which are detailed in Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request the transfer of this data to a third party.

Right to lodge an objection (Art. 21 GDPR):

If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter f GDPR (data processing for the protection of legitimate interests) or on the basis of Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter e GDPR (data processing for the protection of public interests, or in the exercising of official authority), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling (and legitimate) grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right of appeal to a supervisory authority

Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of data concerning you violates any data protection provisions. The right to lodge a complaint may, in particular, be asserted vis-a-vis a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

The assertion of your rights

Unless otherwise described above, please contact the office named in the Legal Notice to assert your rights as a data subject.
